James Haverson Character in The Great Dust Bowl | World Anvil

James Haverson

A man of few words, Haverson has endured many hardships along his journey to where he is now. As if it weren't bad enough that his company of vertibirds went down under his command, he also lost a limb, an eye, and some internal organs that were all now replaced with Vault Crawler cybernetics. This makes him one of the poorest members of his organization as most of his personal wages are used to pay off the deficit left from these surgeries.

Resolved even now to find a way back home he takes these obstacles in stride, presenting a calm stoic demeanor no matter the current situation. Stuck between a rock and hard place, Haverson has been forced to adopt a diplomatic approach with the First Citizens Council to keep his troops supplied and fed. Year by year however more consessions that favor the Crawler seem to be put in place, with rumors surrounding a hostile takeover once the Paladin is no longer around to lead.

Haverson does his best to quell the tension this creates, putting out the many fires as he can while he holds morale up. With the need for continued medical procedures and cyrbernetic enchancements to continue on, he is bound to this position one way or another. Still dedicated to his original assignment, he keeps a close eye on reports dealing with the Greenskins, hoping to at least eliminate the old rival before he becomes too old to don his power armor.
