Lírchon Greenleaf

As seen in

Guild Leader Lírchon Greenleaf

Synopsis

Lírchon Greenleaf is a honest creature, his early life was inspired by the bards who would come to his village and sing tales of adventure and great deeds. These tales inspired him to take upon a life of adventure as he wanted to forge tales of his own. This lead him when presented the oppertunity during the events of Dragon Heist, to form the Golden Lion Company.

Origin

Lirchon was born the son of a common Elven tea farmer living in the lands of the ambitious Lord Rendon Wulff. As a child Lirchon would sneak out after he'd been put to bed and peer through the window of the local tavern to listen to the travelling bards play. Lirchon's father had no time for the bards and their theatrics, but Lirchon was enamoured with every note they sang and longed to live as they did.   As Lirchon grew he became more daring and it was not unheard of for the tavern's proprietor to throw the young elf out whenever he found him hiding inside the tavern hanging on every word that was sung. However, upon coming of age Lirchon with his new-found liberty to visit the tavern started to become acquainted with a great many of the local townsfolk and the bards. Lirchon began to spend so much time with some of the bards they decided to teach him a few tricks of the bard's trade over drinks. The young elf began to notice disappearances, a few people at first, then entire families, while he did not know everyone's lives intimately Lirchon had difficulty believing that so many would just decide to up and leave what was a relatively safe and comfortable farming community.   It was not long before his family's farmhand disappeared... she wouldn't have left without a word- Lirchon's suspicions were confirmed. Lirchon began investigating, seeking to find any trace of where the missing townsfolk could be, the townsfolk were of little help, the outlandish claims of a wide-eyed pup were not worth the time of day. As if led by fate Lirchon deigned to sneak into Lord Wulff's local estate, he had no proof, but something told him he was involved.   While sneaking into Wulffs manor he espied a meeting between lord Wulff and a group of Gnoll; Hyena-like demon-worshipping slavers with the brutality to back up their interests. Lirchon listened, and learned Wulff's intention to use the Gnoll as a weapon to conquer other lords' lands. The Gnoll would attack the weaker lords and take whomsoever they chose for slaves, opening the door for Wulff to expand his own territory over the other lords.   Lirchon awoke two hours later in Wulff's dungeon and as the reality sunk in that not only had he been caught, but he had lost valuable time if he was to stop this. Lirchon called the guards over deftly knocking them out with a sleep spell; those hours spent listening to the slurred words of barely conscious bards over their fifth mug of ale had paid off. Lirchon snuck out of the estate and ran as fast as his legs would carry him back to town.   Lirchon raced into town and rallied the townspeople to save the slaves. Lirchon led the townsfolk after the slave caravan; upon catching up with them Lirchon approached alone. Lirchon distracted the caravan guards long enough with his amateur theatrics while the peasants snuck up on the guards and knocked them out cold.   After freeing the slaves including Lirchon's family's farmhand the peasants and escaped slaves form a revolt against lord Wulff. Wulff was caught unprepared with few enough of his own guards for the peasants to be a credible threat.   After a brief but bloody scuffle Wulff fled with what remained of his guard to his castle, leaving the town to settle its own affairs.   Having saved his town Lirchon decides to seek adventure.   Lirchon the hears while plying the bard's trade at the many establishments of Neverwinter that lord Wulff is travelling from his castle to Neverwinter in order to attend a landsmeet of the lords to agree what is to be done with the former lands of the Trevelyan family   Lirchon makes his way to the landsmeet, gains entry through persuasion and accuses Wulff in front of the other lords of consorting with the Gnoll quoting his experience and the true reason for his town joining the lordship of the Perrics, Lirchon's story is only even loosely considered due to being supported by Lord Perric who confirms the stories that they have heard, but cannot provide hard evidence. Landsmeet closes without a decision on division of Trevelyan lands between local lords and Lirchon takes his leave having taken Wulff down a peg. Lirchon then goes off to seek more adventures.
