The Savannah of Beasts

The lands at the very center of the continent, the death savannah. It's name is quickly discovered to be appropriate, for it is a land of brutal predators never seen before, but also of massive plant eaters that few other things can even hope to rival in size. It is a place of diverse creatures and plants, but also of people, for within this great savannah lives the great tribes of it, other wise known as the four tribes; the urkur of the west, the daerlman of the north, the falin of the east, and the orgor of the south. Each tribe is not only different in body, but different in culture and way of life, each finding their own way to survive this tough landscape.

Geography

The Savannah is an incredibly flat place, with only a few places to hide and those being either up in the trees, The trees within the savannah being large but scattered around rather than tightly packed, or under the ground. On top of this, the sun can reach high temperatures, at its strongest making the air warm enough to begin shaking in the distance. The sun is sometimes the least of people's concerns, as the weather is incredibly seasonal, with long periods of dry and drought, and then seasons of heavy rain that refresh the whole area. There are lakes within the savannah, but all of them are on the edges of it, and all of them lead out of the savannah rather than into and through it. There are sometimes places within the savannah where water collects and can become lakes for a short period of time and become a center for both animals and plants, but they can very quickly dry up and force those staying there to move somewhere else to find resources.
Despite its harsh nature, the Savannah to some is a place of great beauty, both in appearance but also in its pure existence. It is a place of harsh survival and extreme conflict between living beings, but its also a place of gentle silence and winds blowing through. Few would wish to complain when seeing the peaceful rise of the sun from the horizon in its orange and glorious light. The nights have also been said to be quite beautiful, as the nights tend to be very quiet with the biggest light being that off the stars in the sky.

Fauna & Flora

There is a large diversity of all types and sizes of life within the savannah, for it is a primordial and wild place. It has tiny flowers and grass, but also has tall trees that reach far into the sky and are wide enough to create massive shade on the ground. The most obvious diversity is the large variety of living creatures within the vast plains, from the small lizard like creatures that warm themselves in the morning sun, to the brutal death horses that bully all animals around it, to the giant long necks that tower above the massive trees. Truly it is a place of all animals, of all shapes and sizes, of all types of hunters and prey.

Natural Resources

The majority of the resources are what you can see on land, from its powerful but rare herbs that can be found in strange places, to the exotic meat and other products of its animals. The four tribes that live within the savannah make primarily use of the animals who they commonly tame, and some have even begun domesticating for their own uses such as transportation or food. Metal is a rare commodity to come by, and as such most weapons used by the tribes are either spears or one sided axes, with metal always in high demand. As such, its common for tribes to trade what they have simply for metal, to help them hunt and defend themselves.
