The Gotish Enclave

Structure

The power rests upon the mind of Synthrin, the Fog Lord, with his council of wise men, made up of all the different groups within the state, who help manage everything from coin to industry. While the Fog Lord usually listens to his wise men, and sometimes lets them act on their own, he does always have the power to make his own decisions.

Public Agenda

Currently Synthrin is focused on his nation staying isolated from everything happening in the rest of the continent, building his cities and increasing his own industry, while having minimal contact with the outside world, except for trade with the Konken and Talvarians.

Assets

While the true extent of the Enclave's assets are unknown, what is known with a guarantee is the fact that the state has incredibly powerful and diverse magic, with many competent mages, as can be obviously seen from the magic fog surrounding it.

History

When the Golden Dragon died, all 13 of the children rode to their home states. Thus Synthrin returned to his mysterious city of Gotelm, and quickly conspired with his wise men and his people on how to keep their people safe. Thus when the war began, the thick fog quickly grew in thickness across the entire state, engulfing it in this magical spell. Thus, few people can say for sure exactly what happened behind the fog, but it can be assumed the the Enclave was safe from the brunt of the fighting and thus stayed relatively safe. However, judging by its importing of goods, it too suffered during the Silence, and needed to import many goods to take care of its people and industries. As Synthrin creates and discovers strange magic, few can tell what may happen as the wyverns turn their eyes west towards the sea.

Demography and Population

The Enclave is far to the very east of the continent, being far from all corners of the empire, and thus doesn't have the hugest variety of people, as even in the past it was primarily metallic draken of various tribes and cultures that lived there. Draken make up about 80% of the population, with the next largest percentage being that of Talvarians who colonized the surrounding area to a small extent, making up about 15% of the population, with the third largest group being the dwarves in the north areas, making up about 5% of the population.

Military

From what is known of the military, it doesn't seem to be the most heavily trained or best equipped of armies, but does seem to be of a very zealous variety, with many soldiers happily and willing to give their lives for the enclave. However, there are rumors that there are strange and monstrous creatures that seem to be under the control of the enclave, with unknown power.

Religion

Religion plays a very weird role in the state of the Enclave, as there are a huge variety of religions and cultures within the state, each represented equally and treated with respect, regardless of how strange it is, with the representatives of them all acting as managers of the cities and lands of the Enclave.

Foreign Relations

Due to the state essentially cutting itself off from foreign contact, as few people wander into the mist and even fewer ever return from it. Thus, the only contact with the state is through its city on the southern part of it, where trade still happens and trade deals are still created.

Agriculture & Industry

The land of the enclave was once a prosperous one, a center for trade for the talvarians and konken to the south for them to reach the rest of the continent, but after the construction of the great tunnel, trade was instead funneled through there, leading the area to ruin. Now that the enclave has been born, it seems that the soil that was once seen as unfertile, and the lack of natural resources, as now been turned around, with the state somehow being able to grow food but also discover precious crystals deep underground and mining it.
