The Golden Pantheon

Structure

The religion has a strict hierarchy, currently it is still in a development stages of temples being created in areas and the clerics of them being Brass Clerics, the next level, those that lead the temples themselves, are Bronze Sages who take control of religious affairs in local areas when it comes to their chosen god specifically. The final level is Silver Guardian, who are in charge of a province's temples, regardless of god and shows no specific favor to any of them. One can tell the difference between the three by looking at their clothes, with each level wearing different colors and level of complex clothing.

Public Agenda

The primary agenda of the Pantheon is to spread itself, to spread to all corners of the empire, so that all may properly revere the heroes of the empire, and to help make the golden dragon and the others gods of the pantheon to become proper gods in the eyes of the people, rather than simple mortals.

History

No one truly knows how the pantheon was born, as it was born in the midst of the War of the Wyverns. The popular story is that a golden draken named Almani saw the spirit of the Golden Dragon, speaking to him that he must help spread the word of him to the people to help the people once more gain hope in these dark times. Whether the story is true or not, no one really knows, what is know however is that its began spreading from the western corner of the empire, and began spreading inwards, starting in Grenile and then moving east.    As its relatively new, it hasn't fully become a mainstream religion in the empire, but it has begans its hold of certain states such as the Kingdom of Grenile, and is a simple matter of time before it becomes a state religion.

Divine Origins

The essential thing one must understand of the pantheon is that its trying to argue that the people its trying to revere were so much more than that, that they were demigods or even gods in mortal form rather than being simple mortals. They say that because of the incredible things they did for all existence, they should be revered rather than simply respected, and seen as the gods that they are for each of them are important to the draken people.   At first it was just the Golden Dragon who was the primary deity within the pantheon, but it later developed and expanded to other famous people in history so they could cover other areas of society, since the pantheon was born during a time of great strife and danger, and many people were unsure of what to do or if they would live to see another day.

Tenets of Faith

Tenets tend to be different depending on the god, each one has their own set of five rules.

Worship

Worshipping of the different gods vary, but those that follow the Golden Dragon tend to have simple ways of worship. Before one's meal, the people eating put a hand on their hearts and say "Bless the Dragon for this meal", to thank the Golden Dragon for the food you have been able to gain. One also says "Thank you for my life, Golden Dragon" before one goes to sleep, to thank the Golden Dragon for guiding you to living another day. The final day of the week is where for one, when the time strikes the middle of the day, one must be silent for a few minutes with one's hand on one's heart, to commemorate the Golden Dragon's death.

Priesthood

Brass Clerics are the lowest level of priest, and usually work on individual to individual basis, helping faithful with common or simple problems, some of which even travel out into the world to begin their own temples and become Bronze Sages. Bronze sages focus more on their larger local community and help organize charity drives and education of faithful and new acolytes. Silver Guardians are more focusedd on the communities as a whole, organizing large religious events and appointing Bronze Sages.

Granted Divine Powers

Priests of the Pantheon are able to use the flow of magic to create magic effects or spells, but it is always specifically focused on the domain of the specific god that the priest follows. These spells focus more on flow of magic to heal others but also to change its properties to that of radiant, which is damaging to those reanimated by necromancy.
