The Kitty Cart

Marjorie Bar Bellows is a renowned and beloved sorceress and inventor of amazing, and occasionally magical, toys, games, and puzzles. She is known by the children and families of Beldam as "The Wonder Witch." She travels in a wonderful, brightly painted cart pulled by a gigantic tabby-cat, named Paulo, and an equally large ragdoll cat, called Suzette. The cart is called "The Kitty Cart," by the children who chase after it in excitement whenever they hear the ethereal bells and sound of lyres and drums that the enchanted cart plays as it rolls into a village or town.    Children often save up or beg for coins to purchase toys and other items from Marjorie. The Wonder Witch, is always able to tell what toy, game, or puzzle is perfect for a child and will quote a price that the child can afford or can save up for. For children who are too poor she may even send them on a small errand to find magical ingredients, herbs, or plants and will take them as payment for the toy. For all children, she provides, free of charge, a sweet treat called a "kitty paw," that is a kind of chocolate covered caramel candy.    The cats who pull the cart are friendly and sweet, but are rumored to fiercely defend the cart and Margie, transforming into vicious, tiger-like monsters in dangerous situations. The cart itself, has several defensive tools including a cloaking screen, explosive barrels, and a circle of metal spikes that can be launched from the cart to act as a kind of barricade or fence, protecting the cart when it is encamped.   The cart is fairly tall, and two small doors lead from the driver's seat into the body of the cart. When the doors are opened a set of stairs descends into an interdimensional space that contains a workshop, a bedroom, a kitchen with dinette, a fully appointed bathroom, and a parlor where Marjorie holds tea with guests.    In the workshop space are many bizzare and some recognizable tools used for crafting, chemistry, plating, and manufacturing. The walls of the workspace are plastered with blueprints that with a wave of Marjorie's hand become animated illustrations of toys both in design and regularly produced. The kitchen has ovens, tables, and includes refrigerated barrels for food storage and candy-making.
