Liberator Class Heavy Frigate

The Liberator Class Heavy Frigate was the standard issue space combat and planetary assault vessel utilized by the Terran Democratic Hierarchy and The Helldivers military organization during the Age of Strife. Made to be modular and customizable each Liberator could vary greatly in equipment and capability depending on the preferances of its commanding officer.

Power Generation

The Liberator Class is powered by the robust but temperamental Element-710 Cold Fusion Reactor. This reactor utilizes the powerful but unstable material dubbed Element-710 as a primary fuel source but can be fueled by standard Hydrogen-Oxygen fusion though with a lesser energy output.

Propulsion

The Liberator Class is propelled by 10 Class IV Ionic Impulse engines, six at the direct rear of the vessel and the remaining four split between the side cowling shields on either side of the ship. Each Liberator Class comes equiped with a Spike-3 Drive as standard for FTL travel.

Weapons & Armament

The Liberator Class is equiped with six customizable turret hardpoints, four located on the ventral side of the forward prow just in front of the bridge, and two located on the ventral hull just below the bridge. In addition, it comes equiped with a Obital Drop Suite known by its unofficial but more memorable name, the Gates of Hell. Up to five Orbital Insertion Vehicles or Hellpods can be loaded, equiped and launched at the same time from the ship.

Armor and defense

Liberator Class ships have thick Titanian-Steel Alloy armoured hulls that provide adequate protection from most ship level ordinance capable of being loaded on a ship of comparable tonnage. Against ships, stations and other opponents that pack considerable more punch, Liberator Class ships rely on their considerable speed and maneuverability thanks to their multitude of engines. A large bracket-shaped shield panel on each side of the stern provide additional protection to the vulnerable engines and hanger bays.

Communication Tools & Systems

The communication systems of the Liberator Class were considered state-of-the-art at the time of their construction but would now be considered the high end of average in today's day and age, though are considerably more durable and robust considering their age.

Sensors

Liberator Class ships have a comprehensive suite of sensors and planetary scanners that provide detailed topographal information when the ship is in high orbit.

Hangars & docked vessels

The stern of the Liberator Class contains a fair sized through hanger that has enough space to confortably house an Eagle Class Fighter Bomber and a Pelican Class Combat Dropship, or any two ships of comparable size.
