Mechanics & Inner Workings

When a player uses an SOL Weapon they can choose to channel some or all of the experience that they would receive into their weapon. It then levels up much like a character. All SOL Weapons including the Hammer of Maut start at Level 1 and can be advanced to Level 10. As they level up they gain a modifier which applies to their Attack and Damage as well as other effects. A player can choose to have Merchatron 37000 buy their weapon at any time for which they will receive 75% of the experience stored and gold equal to (Weapons Level -2) * Weapon's base cost. Alternatively, a player can choose to dismantle their weapon and channel 100% weapon's earned experience into another SOL Weapon of their choosing by paying Merchatron an amount of gold equal to the amount of experience they wish to transfer.   Hammer of Maut Leveling

5 6500 2 You can take the Help action as a bonus action at the beginning of your turn. If you do so, any attack rolls you make on the same turn have disadvantage.
6 11000 2 You may add your CON modifier to the base damage dealt by this maul.
7 16000 3 This maul grants advantage on attack rolls made against creatures of any size larger than its wielder.
8 22500 3 You gain +5 to Strength contest rolls when an enemy tries to grapple or restrain you.
9 30000 3 Gain +2 to your STR score. Your STR can exceed 20, but not 25.
10 40000 4 Once per short rest you can channel your excess energy into a single devastating attack. You may choose to use your action to smash the ground with your maul. All non-allied creatures within 15 feet of you must make a DC 18 STR save or take 10d8 (or half as much on a successful save) Thunder damage and be stunned until the start of their next turn. Attack rolls made against you have advantage until the start of your next turn. This action does not proc Modification Crystal perks.
