Transport Doors

The Fengge locks where made by the Gnomes of Avern who where commissioned by a mysterious organisation who's name has been lost to time. The rumour was that a organisation where looking for a secret way to get from one place to a set location someone else which is Pre determined by the Combined magic within the key and lock.   Apparently the keys once belong to select members of the Thieves Guild of Freetown and Xinugh's Band of Bards and a wizards and mages. But there current location is unknown. as for the locations of the doors with the locks those where only known to the key owners the makers and possibly a few other people.
Access & Availability
Avalibility is usually restricted to between one and four in certain cities and one in several other settlemeants and random other special locations. Access is limit to 11 keys which where giving out to special people, which again has been lost to the ages.
Complexity
The story is that is it requires a lock and key made by the gnomes of Avern with a secret technique which it’s exact details are unknown now. These locks can’t be broken or taken apart by conventual means by anyone who has tried. A specific key is needed to open the door to go to your mysterious location, other wise it opens like a normal door. The key is rumoured that it needs to be made with something from the location your travelling to. It is believed the lock has a gem like stone in it that has the worlds geography in it. This knowledge must come from a magic transfer to the "gem" from a formidable magic user, according to legend. When the key turns it moves little bits inside which adjusts them to marks inside the lock that refers to Longitude and latitude which when positioned it turns the "gem" to place which opens the door to that location.

Thankyou. I’m still working out how to make this available to my characters and let them know the details. But that’s for a future date.
