CIty Watch of SLiberberg

With a large population of magic users and the city constantly bombarded by wild magic shenanigans, keeping the peace in Sliberberg would always be arduous. Still, the city watch has tried to ensure crime does not pay too well for centuries. Compared to contemporaries in other worlds, the city watch of Sliberberg is a unique entity, closer to a modern British-style police force than a traditional city watch. Watchmen are easily recognizable by their blue and white tunics with prominent badge numbers, batons, and kettle-style helmets. Depending on the neighborhood, they make preventive patrols throughout the city in groups of two to ten. The Watch maintains a cadre of dedicated detectives responsible only for conducting investigations and other specialized divisions for public order, magical crimes, and riot control. On top of all this, the Watch is expected to follow a strict code of conduct that holds accountability first and foremost, adding to its unique structure.

Structure

The Watch is organized into several divisions. These divisions are Patrol, Traffic, Investigation , Riot, Administrative, and Forensics. Each Divison is headed by a Superintendent which answers to the Commander of the city watc

Patrol

The Patrol division is the largest, consists entirely of patrolmen, and is responsible for most of the city's policing, including initial incident response, patrolling, and apprehending the less dangerous criminals. The patrol division is divided between 13 watchhouses (including watch hq), each consisting of about 40 watchmen under the leadership of a Watch Captain.

The investigation consists of about 30 detectives based out of Watch Hq. Investigation is tasked with investigating major crimes like heists, murder and arson.

Riot

Riot division consists about 80 watchmen based out of Watch Hq. They are tasked with responding to riots and apprehending the most dangerous criminals.

Administrative

Administrative division consists of 60 clerks based in Watch HQ Tasked with all the paperwork required to run the watch

Forensics

Consisting of 20 forensic alchemists and crime scene techs and based in the Watch HQ basement, they are the smallest division and work closely with Investigations. They are tasked with processing evidence for the investigative division
