Caitríona mac Uathach openly lives a double life as the prim and proper heiress to her noble house and the rough-and-tumble guild master of the city’s unofficial bounty hunters' guild. Since inheriting her title after her father’s death, Caitríona has embraced both roles, balancing courtly decorum with streetwise grit. She commands respect in both worlds but sometimes struggles to reconcile their demands.

Personal history

Ever since she was born into the house of Mac Uathach, she has endured her father's abusive nature. A prideful, cruel, and heartless man by nature, he would beat her mother, her siblings, and her at the slightest provocation or challenge. Caitríona's only escape from her troubled upbringing was through cheap adventure novels. She read any dime novel she could get her hands on and hide from her father's disdain for all things fiction. In one such dime novel, she buys off a goblin peddler and sees an image of what she wants: freedom. The novel was about a young female and independent bounty hunter from Eberron who did not take anything from anyone. At age 17, she ran away from home carrying only those things she could easily sell and what limited training in the bow and the sword she could acquire in her father's household. She rolled into Sliberberg shortly afterward and made a beeline for Underberg, where she christened herself Cassidy Rose. She started to pick up bounties around the Goblin Market, and to her and everybody else surprise, she proved a natural bounty hunter. By the time she was 18, she had captured eight bounty heads, including two notorious outlaws. Soon, she gains the nickname queen of the bounty hunters. Leveraging her fame, she talked several other bounty hunters into forming a guild. She used her earnings to buy a rundown bar in the goblin market to serve as a guild hall and thus the SBHU was founded.
