A raucous cacophony of life broke out across the great city, music and cheers filled the darkening air and the smell of fine wines, ales and meads began to proliferate among the growing crowds. High atop the endless tile roofed houses rose the pale winter's moon, covering this darkening city with its pale glow and activating the great suncatcher lights that dot the many streets of the Arcanis Ward and the Great Machine Shop. Demographics

The great White City of Vulora sits as the very base of power for the Abendroth Empire, the largest human empire within the continent of Ardath. As such the city is a standing beacon for human society and culture with endless swathes of Torans, Estaforeans, and even some far-off merchants from the lands of Sorlig and even the kingdoms of Sorrowel. With the conclusion of the Scorian Campaign a new demographic entered Vulora's majority, Scorian Dwarves have begun to poor into Vulora and her surrounding cities in search of a better life and a chance to fully embrace Abendrothi culture and rule. Along with these two purveying races many other peoples come to Vulora seeking a better life, many elves, gnomes, halflings and even the occasional beast kin will come to the city looking to start anew.

Government

King Dedrich Abendroth rules over the city as he does with the greater empire, in his wisdom he has appointed several advisers and councils to ensure that his peace can be kept, and his taxes can be paid in full. The first of these advisers is the Grand Vizier who is the direct advisor in regard to policy creation and matters of governance, the Vizier heads the First Council. The First Council is the central economic body in charge of governing and running the many facets and civil bodies within the city, the council is made up of Regents, men who have been chosen by the king or the vizier to take charge of an aspect of the city and the empire beyond it. The Regent of Coffers is the crown treasurer and is in charge of ensuring that the taxes of the city and empire are collected on time and in full, he is charge of the crown's finances and funds and will be called into account if the crown should ever run short of coin. The Regent of War masters the army, he ensures that the soldiers of the king are provided for and paid for their service, he musters the recruiting for the great Abendroth Army, and he is the one who brings any military news to the king if it is not specifically requested by the king. The Regent of War also ensures that the funds for the war go as smoothly as possible and he is the one who vets candidates for war time leigedom to be selected by the king. The Regent of Delegation handles foreign affairs of both the city and the empire, he ensures that treaties are followed, and tributes are paid, he mans the delegation at the treaty table, and he brings all letters for suet to the king. The Regent of Ships helms the great navy of the empire, procuring the funding, material and manpower needed to maintain and evolve the naval superiority of the empire.
