High Elves
Elegant are the spiral towers and the white stone halls of the Barons and Baronesses of the High Elves. Their cities sing with the glories of a millennia of rich history and the air of their palaces and temples waft with the finest of perfumes and incense. The cities of the High Elves are said to be the most beautiful in the world, settled into the sides of rivers and forests where their splendor can be adored by all who pass by. But it is the life that lies within that makes these lofty halls what they are. The high magics of the elves weaved these beautiful towers into being and carved and twisted these wooden arches into what they are today. The High Elves venerate skill, beauty and pride in their heritage, they are untethered from this world, set to dwell upon it as examples to the mortal races who will parish with it. Major language groups and dialects
High Elves speak elvish but have developed their own form called High Elven which is only ever spoken in formal settings or when addressing another High Elf among the presence of non-High Elves.
Common Dress code
High Elven fashion and dress code is dependent on societal status, commoners will wear linen tunics, and dresses with leather boots and heavy pants. Wealthier elves will wear finer tunics of velvet or silk of blue or gold in coloration with form fitting shoes or sandals. The wealthiest of High Elves will wear only the finest of silk robes and dresses adorned with gold and large flowing cloaks of fur lined velvet.
Art & Architecture
Thin pointed spires and towers along with large pointed arches are the staples of High Elven architecture. Simpler buildings and dwellings are made of the usual mortar and lumber, but their rooves are shaped in a fiercely sloped A frame with sharp frills lining the neck of the roof. Larger and more governmental buildings are built of marble and white stone, with gold trim and similarly finely tapered and sloped rooves of blue tile.

Beauty Ideals
Fine craft, jewels, music, and elegance are what High Elves find most beautiful. Those who wish to venerate these ideals must become well rounded members of the society quickly if they wish to keep up with the tastes of their elders. Both male and female High Elves choose to wear the finest of silk robes, tunics and dresses embroidered with gold filigree and topped by flowing cloaks of fur and velvet clasped with precious metals or gem stones.
Gender Ideals
High Elves moved past the ideals of the flesh long ago, an elf is an elf no matter what sex they were born with, and with the gifts of their immortality even this can be bent to a certain degree.
Courtship Ideals
Most High Elves will sing to the one to which their heart pulls them, this song is often one of secret longing, or sudden passion, either way the quality and composition of the song is what moves the heart of both the wooed and those who hear the song of courtship. This song may be excepted by any who hear it, but if the one it is intended for yields to its chorus then the other suiters will have to move on but can always return to the singer with their own song. Once this song has been accepted then the two begin courtship, this lasts for as long as the two wish and will either end in separation or progression into mate hood. Courtships generally last between 5-6 years with some lasting even as long as 10 years.
Relationship Ideals
A High Elf can have as many relationships as they wish for as long as they wish and with however many as they wish at a time. High Elves marriages are often held between members of prominent houses or to human spouses, but generally do not occur within the larger society as a whole.
