The Omphalos

The Omphalos is the largest remaining Precursor station, which was made as their people fled their homeworld when it was destroyed by a Fermi paradox, causing them to make their own worlds all over the galaxy, observing the newer races.
It is the current seat of the Amalgamate, a council, which contains most sentient races, only some outstanding races are currently at war with the Amalgamate across the Expanse
The only race found on the Omphalos on it's discovery was the Modrons, who kept to themselves, maintaining and running the station. Attempts to communicate with them about what happened to the Precursors results in them simply stating "ERROR: DATA NOT FOUND. PLEASE SEARCH THE INDEX FOR LOG#2408/D". Apart from this lack in their memory, they are very helpful with keeping the station and other Precursor stations continuing to run for tens of thousands of years since their creation.
Each Disktric is primarily residential, but each have their own docks and trading hubs for day-to-day life without relying on journeying to the central ring or the Eye.
