Feud

A Mountain island on Caelum, the Aasimar there take on some fiendish traits, horns, red skin, pointed tails and even leathery wings. It is very much a place where any avoid it where possible, the aasimar there are cold and cruel, and spite their other aasimar's luck to be born on islands not tied to Lorian and the war with the Aberrations of Null.   Key Locations The Maw of Fire – A massive, smoldering crater at the heart of the island, where lava churns endlessly in a pit of searing heat. The ground surrounding it is cracked and unstable, with rivers of molten rock carving ever-changing paths down the mountainside. Some say the Maw is alive, a remnant of an ancient, vengeful spirit that still rages below.   The Wailing Cliffs – Jagged cliffs that drop steeply into the raging sea, their sheer faces blackened by centuries of eruptions. The wind here howls like voices crying out in agony, leading to whispers that the cliffs hold the echoes of those who have perished on Feud.   The Ashen Hollows – A vast network of tunnels carved by lava flows, stretching beneath the island. The deeper one ventures, the hotter it becomes, until the air itself shimmers with heat. Strange markings are etched into the cooled magma, suggesting the tunnels were once used by an ancient civilization—or something far older.   The Shattered Spire – A broken tower of obsidian that once stood as a symbol of power but now lies fractured and ruined. It is said to have been split in two by a god’s wrath, and those who camp near it report hearing whispers on the wind, arguing in languages long forgotten.   The Ember Fields – A scorched expanse of land where blackened earth cracks beneath one’s feet, and glowing embers rise from the ground like dying stars. The land itself still smolders from past eruptions, making it nearly impossible for anything to grow.   The Bloodforged Arena – A circular pit carved into the mountainside, where warriors of old once fought for dominance. Though abandoned for centuries, the arena remains eerily intact, as if waiting for the next battle to begin. Some claim that those who spill blood upon its stones hear the voices of past champions urging them to fight.   The Sundered Coast – A shoreline of jagged rock formations and steaming vents, constantly reshaped by eruptions. Sunken ships dot the waters, testaments to those who tried—and failed—to claim Feud for themselves.   Notable NPCs Varos the Unyielding (Goliath, Male) – A self-proclaimed warlord who seeks to reclaim the Bloodforged Arena and restore Feud as a land of conquest. He believes that only the strongest have the right to rule and sees the island as a testing ground for warriors.   High Magister Thryssa (Tiefling, Female) – A scholar obsessed with unlocking the secrets of the Ashen Hollows. She believes the tunnels hide knowledge of an ancient war between gods, but her descent into the depths has begun to change her in unsettling ways.   Elder Varkis of the Ember Watch (Human, Male) – One of the few who still reside on Feud, guarding what remains of the Shattered Spire. He claims to be the last of an ancient order who once kept the Maw of Fire in check, but whether he speaks truth or madness is uncertain.   The Burning Phantom (Unknown, ???) – A ghostly figure seen wandering the Wailing Cliffs, its form flickering like flame. Those who encounter it report hearing their own unresolved grudges whispered back at them.   The Forgemaster (Fire Genasi, Male) – A mysterious smith who dwells within a cavern near the Maw of Fire. He forges weapons said to hold the fury of the island itself, but he only grants them to those who prove themselves worthy in battle.
