The Crossroads

Free from the influences of both the Imperium and the Empire, the Crossroads is considered to be a bastion of free trade and self expression in the Wuld. Made up of people who wished to be free from the governments of the major factions, the Crossroads is a booming hub of free trade and commerce away from the racial biases of the Imperium, or the tyrannical laws of the Empire. This town is the home to the Hunter's Guild, a national organizations of self proclaimed adventurers, hunters, and researchers who are willing to offer up their services to anyone who is willing to pay.

Demographics

The Crossroads is made up of mostly Dwarves, Gnomes, and Half Elves. But it is also notable for having the largest half orc population in the Wuld.

Government

The government of the Crossroads is made up of a federation of companies and organizations known as the Turning Point initiative. These groups have branches that oversee everything from road repair to fending off the monstrosities of the Wuld. Unlike the companies that make up the Clockwork Empire, these groups seem to be actually invested in the working class and work together rather than constantly being at each others throats.   One of the most notable aspects of this government is that they work to ensure that no Imperial companies get a foothold in their city since their ideals are incompatible with the ideals of the Turning Point Initiative.

Infrastructure

While not as large or as grand in scope as Simmsmout, the Crossroads still has a basic sewer and water system in place. Furthermore they have electricity provided to them by hydropowered generators in the river.

Natural Resources

This city is built on the edges of a massive river near the border of the Coral Wastes and the Everglade. As such, they have ready access to water power as well as living coral and jungle wood.
