Birth of The Fayen Collective, The Capitalist Trade Union & The Iron Cohort

The previously separated races now connected through Aethership travel began to find comrades in those who share the same needs, values and philosophies.   Three major factions grew exploring, discovering, hoarding, pillaging and fighting each other.   The Fayen Collective - The first to create Aether Ships were the Elves. They made great ships of Ironwood, not built but grown as entire units from the great trees of their Spheres. They expanded their influence finding variations of their Elven brethren on nearby Spheres and farther out their cousins the Gnomes. The Fayen Collective grew out of these peoples, bound together in their shared Fay ancestry and natural talent with the Arcane Arts. As they expanded they set up colonies on every sphere they found that could support life and “educated” those whose they came across. Soon they had a firm rule over the majority of their Confluence.   The Capitalist Trade Union - The second to reach out into the Ethereum were the Dwarves. Their long and narrow ships were propelled by strange machines fueled by the power of Nodelight, granting them great bursts of speed and maneuverability. As they traveled from Sphere to Sphere the Dwarves encountered other races establishing trade and diplomatic relations. Comradeship was found in Halflings who shared not only a similar perspective in height but a strength of mind and inquisitiveness. Thus the Capitalist Trade Union was formed reaching out in a desire for knowledge and resources in their Confluence.   The Iron Cohort - The third and last race to join the exploration of the Etherium was the Goliaths. They build boxy unwieldy behemoths that could hardly ride the flow of the Aether Streams but had lower decks of enslaved rowers who could steadily propel them onward. As they explored they found allies in the Orcs and Humans, who’s natural inclination for conquest and greed made them untrustworthy but eager companions. This joining became known as the Iron Cohort who clashed often with the other races in raids and attacks.
