The Sundering destroyed almost everything of note from the Advanced Civilizations that had existed prior. However scattered throughout the Etherium are Pieces of the Wonders they had made. Alien workings that blend together fundamentals of Sciences & Magic in incomprehensible ways. Most are Broken and inert but a Rare few still Function. These things often possess a level of Intelligence and Knowledge usually reserved for living things. The Power these Wonders represent is Amazing but the intents that shaped them still directs their Actions and Desires to this day. It is rumored that a Wonder can make even the Lowest person into a glorious Being of Power.
