Merchants and Tradespeople
There is a thriving market in essential goods, such as clothing, building materials, food, basic tools, etc., and these things can be obtained easily from many different shops and producers. Most merchants make a decent living, and some Craftspeople double as merchants by directly selling the wares they produce.
Many of the highly successful merchants have exclusive deals with particularly skilled Craftspeople, creating monopolies on certain uncommon, specialized, or high-quality goods. The limited population and nonexistent trade Outside the Enclave facilitates this. Accordingly, such items can be difficult to locate and may be expensive. The Enclave Council has occasionally acted to break monopolies.
More recently, some merchants (such as Phillipa Stook) have grown wealthy by dealing in goods from Outside that are brought by Foraging Parties.
