Animals in the Enclave

Most conventional domestic animals are present in the Enclave, including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, bees, donkeys, pigs, sheep, and goats. Families often own several animals, especially chickens. There are also cows and horses, but these are relatively small. The breeding population of horses is maintained mainly to crossbreed with donkeys to produce mules, though sometimes horses feature in races or jousts in The Arena. Druids at the Shrine to Obad-Hai serve as veterinarians.
Rats, mice, and other vermin are also present, though vermin infestations are usually not severe. Other small wild animals are common, such as songbirds, squirrels, muskrats, snakes, frogs, insects, etc.
Magical animals are unknown. Mages sometimes have 'familiars', but these are ordinary animals/pets that are more intelligent or better trained than average. Rarely, mages have enchanted their familiar itself to enhance its usefulness.
