Selestean Star System

The Selestean Star System is the only solar system in the Empyrean Universe. It consists of it's sun, Seleste, six planets, 11 moons, an asteroid belt, and a number of miscellaneous objects like dwarf planets, comets, and dust clouds.

There are no additional stars, planets, nebulae, or other celestial bodies in the rest of the universe, it is simply an endless void. However, there is an illusory field of stars simulating a rich and vibrant cosmos, complete with orbital mechanics, celestial motion, gravitational lensing, and all other phenomena one would expect from a complete universe. This illusion, known as The Starfield was put in place by Ashtar as a gift for his lover Ishtar after the horrors she experienced at the hands of Tharizdun during The Betrayal War.

Seleste

Seleste is the sun at the center of the Selestean Star System and is in fact, the only star in all of the Empyrean Universe. Seleste is a celestial anomaly, a lone sun that occupies a unique position within the cosmos. In a universe devoid of other stars, it stands as the solitary source of warmth, light, and life. Seleste possesses a remarkably stable and eternal nature, never faltering or aging.

Seleste is the home of many elemental creatures aligned with the plane of fire, including elementals, efreets, and Solar Dragons.

Inferno

Inferno, a scorched world forged in the crucible of Seleste's fiery embrace, blazes a relentless path through the heavens. This rocky orb, tidally locked in a never-ending embrace with the sun, knows no respite from its blistering heat. Its surface is a barren, desolate wasteland, marred by relentless volcanic eruptions that paint the sky with rivers of molten rock. It's a place where only the hardiest of beings survive, creatures of flame and fury, like fire elementals, dance among the lava flows. Overhead, the lone sentinel, Cindarra, casts a crimson glow, bearing witness to Inferno's eternal blaze.

Vista

Vista, is a jewel in the cosmic tapestry. This tropical paradise, nestled just within Seleste's habitable zone, boasts a mesmerizing mosaic of islands and archipelagos. A shimmering ocean, teeming with life, kisses the sands of countless shores. Vista's thick, oxygen-rich atmosphere bears witness to endless days of scorching sun, making it a siren's call for adventurers and pirates alike. In these azure waters, myriad humanoid creatures, each with their own tales and treasures, seek their fortunes under the relentless gaze of the blazing sun. The only thing missing from this idyllic realm is a moon, leaving the night sky a canvas for the twinkling Starfield.

Ora

Ora, the heart of the Selestean Star System, stands as a testament to the cosmos' boundless wonders. This temperate world is a cradle of magic and mystery, a realm where the extraordinary is ordinary. Three continents, each with its own enchanting stories, stretch across Ora's surface. Acheron, to the west, is shrouded in shadows and secrets. Firmament, the ethereal landmass floating in the northern sky, beckons to those who dare dream beyond the mundane. And to the east, Halcyon, bathed in the golden light of a thousand sunrises, cradles the dreams of countless souls. Populated primarily by tieflings, Aasimar, and humans, amid a menagerie of fantastical creatures, Ora is a melting pot of diverse cultures, where magic flows like a river, shaping destinies. And myriad portals connect distant realms and Planes of Existence. The twin moons, Mensa and Sensa, the Night's Eyes, illuminate the night with their eternal presence, a celestial dance that paints the world in hues of silvery blue and golden red. An everpresent reminder in the sky, you'll find the Slash, a shimmering ring of icy remnants, a testament to the celestial clash of gods and the birth of legends.

Kethea

Kethea, a frozen sentinel guarding the outer reaches of Seleste's habitable zone, is a world of relentless ice and snow. Here, the heartiest souls thrive, embracing a warrior's ethos. They revel in tales of valor, their deeds echoing through time like hymns to the cosmos. In this land of eternal winter, longboats cut through icy seas, and the spirits of the undead, known as draugr, roam ancestral burial grounds, while tremendous beasts stomp through the wilds, leaving destruction in their wake. Kethea is a crucible of legends, where the brave yearn to carve their names into the annals of history, celebrating life's fervor amidst the icy embrace of eternity.

Sardior

Sardior, the mysterious Wanderer, is a cosmic riddle that haunts The Void of the Selestean Star System. This rogue comet, akin in size to a diminutive moon, is a rare and mesmerizing sight. Bathed in a resplendent ruby red hue, it defies the expectations of those who gaze upon it. Sardior's true nature remains an enigma to the denizens of the solar system. It is a wanderer indeed, charting its own course through the cosmos, seemingly heedless of the gravitational tethers that bind other celestial bodies. With an air of capriciousness, it dances through the celestial ballet, sometimes hastening its journey, other times languidly trailing behind, a vagabond in the cosmic theater.

Praegigas

Praegigas, the colossal gas giant reigns beyond the asteroid belt, its majesty commanding the cosmic stage. This behemoth boasts five principal moons, each with its own captivating tale. Hortus, with its dense, geothermal-heated atmosphere, defies The Void, nurturing an unlikely sanctuary of life. Luna, a frigid ice moon, shelters enigmatic lunar dragons within its icy expanse. Vanitash, a desolate wasteland blasted by the scars of countless collisions, appears barren yet harbors untold secrets. Dente, the moon riddled with caves, conceals a sprawling outpost of the sinister ilithid. Lastly, Lesh, an exceptional anomaly, comprises interconnected earthly masses intertwined by colossal flora, which is nurtured by astral elves and powerful dryads. And among these celestial bodies, Praegigas reigns supreme, home to elusive air elementals and cloud dragons, where the very atmosphere dances with arcane wonder.

Finrod

Farthest from Seleste's warming embrace, Finrod stands as a silent sentinel, an ice giant shrouded in mystery. Beneath its frozen facade, it guards untold secrets, suspected to harbor subsurface oceans beneath miles of ice. Two moons, Dagon and Tempe, share its remote domain. Dagon, the larger sibling, conceals watery realms of horror beneath its cryovolcanic crust, where sahuagin and abominations beyond description reign supreme. Tritons, merfolk, and aquatic elves establish isolated outposts, clinging to existence in this aquatic abyss. On the other hand, Tempe, an enigmatic moon veiled in tempestuous skies has an atmospheric pressure so strong it rains diamonds. Here, storm giants command the thunderous skies, and lightning elementals dance amidst electrifying tempests. These distant realms of Finrod beckon to the intrepid explorer, promising tales of darkness and wonder amidst the cosmic chill.
