SER KALAWUN EMBER, concerned over the disposition of forces for and against them, took a late-night check of the perimeter and horse-line. It was there that he was able to hear and observe the arrival of a dozen additional horsemen to the Rhaemor lines though he could not make out any heraldry or symbols.

Returning to his tent, his attention was brought to shouting altercation near the tents of the high nobles. There he discovered SER NYRICM ALCWYN and SER VIAR MODIRA angrily arguing with a sentry. The sentry indicated that he had found the two knights walking about despite the late hour. SER VIAR was clearly intoxicated and claimed to have spent the night carousing with SER ARTEAN VAMMAR. While SER NYRIM ALCWYN rudely stated that his business was no one else’s interest. SER KALAWUN instructed all of them to seek their beds for the battle looming the following day.
