THEOWYN is the widow and 2nd wife of the late EORL RANDUIN BRYNAGAR. She is a commoner but most folks point to her obvious affection for the EORL while he was still alive. They do this to put to bed the scurrilous rumors of her pursuing the older man for more selfish reasons. She became involved with the EORL fater the death of his first wife--the mother of his son & heir as well as the EORL ROVIN. While ROVIN and her had a tense relationship while the old EORL was alive, it has seemed to mellow over the years. The sincere actions of the young EORL in seeking a strong match for his half-sister Eorith Brynagar, the daughter of THEOWYN and RANDUIN, bore this theory out.
THEOWYN spends much of her time at the manor set aside for her at her late husband's wishes. She has done so since her husband passed knowing, as she did, that her presence made ROVIN uneasy. Opinions regarding her vary widely amongst the EORL's vassals.
