Personal history
Ondaul Kashyr served as a page in Brynwall under the old Eorl of Swords. In 46 ET, was squired to Lord Artath Morlanis for training as a knight. Serving Morlanis, Kashyr spent several years in the Eorldom Between-The-Waters. He was knighted in the fall of 51 ET.
For about four years, from 54-58ET, there was much gossip on SER ONDAUL's bachelorhood and his unimpeachable feelings for an acquaintance, the Lady Catriona Ruari. He spent a few years ensuring that she was never far from his sight in case he might turn to find her eyes upon him softly. Alas, it was not to be and the LADY CATRIONA, along with her companions, were absent from the Eorldom much although distinguishing themselves in the eyes of knights and lords alike through their accomplishments.
LADY CATRIONA's engagement and marriage to Lord Emrys Gwalchmai concerned not a few Swords personalities for its effect on this knight. SER ONDAUL was heard to refer to LORD EMRYS, a close friend of the EORL and heroic knight in his own right, as his 'rival'. A few incidents prior to the wedding of the two puissant nobles raised some hackles but SER ONDAUL simply disappeared from social view for a time. If one were to listen to the Brynwall gossip, one might have heard a tale or two about those incidents--actually confrontations--and maybe even have heard the one where the EORL interceded and SER KASHYR was ordered to take a bride.
In the Summer of 59 ET, regardless of the reason, SER ONDAUL KASHYR was duly married to the young handmaiden of the EORL's wife, Elri of Brynwall.
