Moethe Damalda is a fairly measured nobleman's daughter who had the odd luck to fall in love with the Prince of Thorns, Urian Damaneos.Her father's opinion of him has never been positive and it worsened after he discovered a masked Urian dancing with Moethe at the 50-Queen's Tournament. Through the efforts of the knights-Catriona Ruari, Emrys Gwalchmai, Kalawun Ember and Mavron Solaim--the Eorl has come around to the idea of her marrying the Eorl who turned his back on Rhone.

Moethe Damalda is a friend of Sera Catriona Ruari after Catriona fished her out from the river when she was struggling poorly. That brought Catriona the appreciation of her father, Eorl of Shields, who repaid it by taking her as a squire. Moethe and Catriona remained friends throughout her squiring.
Sera Catriona and her friends were instrumental in making her marriage to Urian Damaneos-the Prince of Thorns-a possibility.
