The Circle of the Mounds
Before the Myrrans and Thyrrians became two separate cultures, they were known as the Ynis Môrr, the Men of the Mounds. These mounds, or cairns, were raised over their honored dead and are found all over northern Aetrios.
The druidic circle who take their name from these ancient burial sites and those who raised them inhabit the lands west of the Domain of Ironhaven, from the edge of Darkened Vale to the coast of the Serrid Sea, and down to the woodlands around the Free City of Hythe.
Structure
The Circle follows the traditional druid hierarchy.
Territories
Their territory reaches from the Serrid Sea in the west to the edge of Darkened Vale in the northeast, and the woodlands around Hythe to the southeast. This area still has the greatest number of undisturbed cairns and the circle protects them from grave robbers.
Laws
The only law the circle holds inviolate is the teaching of the druidic language to non druids and carries the penalty of being stripped of all powers, branding as a apostate, and banishment. The convicted is considered outlawed and offered no succor.
