Family names

Many families have dropped the patronymic all together and use an ancestral name as their family surname, though the older style is still quite common.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
All Myrrans speak Myrrish and the Common tongue. In addition, many learn dwarvish, elvish, and halfling. Those living towards Thyrrian lands pick up Thyrran, though speaking myrrish can usually let speaker fluent in either carry on a normal conversation with little difficulty. Orcish is extremely common due to the high populations of Orcneas descended from the old Ruulic Federation.
Historical figures
Turest I Erast, the first King of Erast was a Myrrish Lord and warrior. His family ruled northern Aetrios for almost three hundred years.
