Caywold is ruled by a noble aristocrat, the lady Cyna (Key-nah). She inherited the town and its lands from among her late fathers holdings and has ruled the town for 17 years. Under her rule the town has prospered and continues to grow.

Construction has begun on a stone wall to defend the town, as well as a stone keep for the defense of the citizens.

The Sapphire Shield: A fanciful dwarven tavern, said to be built atop an ancient dungeon.
The Odeum of Revelry: A grand timber and brick theatre.
The Hunter and Mace: An inn, decorated with wards against vampires.
Tourism
Caywold is known for its large population of domestic cats. The cats have been a part of Caywold since its founding.
It is a capital offence to harm a cat in any way in Caywold.
Architecture
Brick and slate are as common as timber and thatch in Caywold. The one distinctive feature of construction in Caywold is the red-painted doors. Almost every family home in the town has a door painted with the local red pigment paint.
Geography
Caywold sits next to a swift-flowimg stream that powers the local grist mill and lumber mill. The ancient trees of Bersingr Vale surround the town and provide game and more to the people of Caywold.
Climate
Cool and damp with frequent rain. Snowfall is common during the late winter months. The growing season is long and usually makes for a prosperous harvest.
