Vntokai

The Vntokai are a race that dominates the southwestern portion of Yyradayn, they look like tan skinned humans but when they blink their eyes do not close vertically but horizontally, their pupils look like that of geckos, and their finger nails are more like claws.

Civilization and Culture

Common Dress Code

In their culture women wear head garb resembling that of a belly dancers but its base is black and has small golden plates woven into the vale with golden silk, the head dress is typically customized with other gems or different colors which represent how much wealth an individual may have and what clan they are from. The dresses are almost a mirrored copy of the vale the only difference is that it is woven from a stronger and thicker material. The men wear a head garb that resembles a head wrap often seen worn by desert dwellers, this garb is typically adorned with the color and a small crest of the clan the individual belongs too. There regular clothes the men wear is a Thobe or a Shalwar Kameez that has different patterns sown into the garb depending on which clan an individual is apart of.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Those that are banished from their clans are branded with a mark akin to a cross except the horizontal line is bent upward into a half oval and it has a small circle that is centered at the cross point between the vertical and horizontal lines, this brand are typically put on an individual's forehead or hand but are also seen on the chest as well.

History

The Vntokai barely survived the Great Calamity and it is do to them being geographically positioned far enough away from its epicenter, much like the Rayisudi. Unlike the Rayisudi, the Vntokai did not have great resistances to harsh environments and no deep mountain caves to hide in so their numbers dropped to extremely low numbers and for a time extinction was thought to be inevitable, but they some how made it back from the brink. It is believed that an architect had found a material that was highly resistant to the now harsh environment in the small mountain range on the coast, A farmer had found a nutrient that help grow edible food with a successful harvest, and a Leader that brought all of the clans of the Vntokai together and allowed them to finally rebuild their society.
