Kingdom of Nashiade
The Kingdom of Nashiade is an Enctör nation situated in the south of the Plaires Centralis, bordering Fraspika. Arable lands very quickly transition into steppe north of Fremedhia, and Nashiade maintains a thin strip of land between the centaur-ridden steppe and the magical Cianwood's mountainous shield. southern Nashiade controls a larger amount of farmland and a small area of woods which provides valuable timber due to the presence of the [tbd] river. Still, the north is inhospitable steppe, and Nashaide has a very light population base in the area, which is highly vulnerable to centaur raids. Luckily, the highlands they are situated in are somewhat defensible, though the centaurs are always probing defenses.
History
Nashiade is the heir to the old Enctör tribes which existed north of Fraspika until 1775 S.C.. The Enctör people had originally settled the area in the late 1200s S.C. after being pushed from the shores of lake Arcesiel by the Orentesh. A group of five major tribes would form a pact to establish a new homeland, and finding the Plaires Centralis largely depopulated of humans, they would slice through the disparate centaur tribes and newly-settled goblins. From 1265-1285 S.C., the Enctör would establish a strong presence on the border with the Kingdom of Fraspika. In 1283 S.C., this new threat would attempt to invade Fraspika and seize its lands, however the attack was ultimately unsuccessful. The defeat would lead to a reorganization of the Enctör and dealt a fatal blow to their unity; one of the major tribes was decimated and was assimilated into the other four, which would, over time, be the same fate the various minor Enctör tribes faced. The few Enctör attempts to raid and conquer through the mountains to Blazennia or into the Cianwood would end in disaster, so they concentrated on the relatively easier target of Fraspika. Still, the Enctör would never again pose a serious threat to Fraspika, though sporadic war continued up until the 1700s S.C.. By the late 1600s S.C., the centaurs had begun to be more of a threat and the Enctör were forced on a defensive. They would hold out for 80 or so years but by 1775 S.C. their capitals were all sacked and most of their people fled. Those who stayed were enslaved, and stayed that way for the next 16 years, until the Second Centaur Khanate was defeated by Blazennia. At this point the remaining Enctör would rise up and forge a common destiny.; the majority of these remaining Enctör being from the tribe of Nashi. Legitimized by Fraspika as a buffer state to protect themselves from Cenatur raids, the Nashi would soon be named as the Kingdom of Nashiade. Most of the Enctör who fled into Fraspikan lands were forcefully "repatriated" to their "homeland"; Nashiade made sure these new citizens were dispersed enough to not pose a subnational identity. The new citizens were also even poorer than those who had remained, as the best farmlands had already been taken and their possessions had been stolen while they were expelled by Fraspika.
The new nation of Nashiade on a whole was basically destitute, and it would be many years before they were able to stabilize their economy. Even today their currency remains depressed and weak compared to other nation, with Fraspikan money being considerably more valuable. Nashiade was dependent on Fraspikan subsidies for much of its existence, and is still reliant on Fraspika to survive. If they were to have their trade with Fraspika cut off, there would be little to no way for them to reach other markets. Hence, they must walk a thin line between their hate for Fraspika and their desire for economic betterment. On Fraspika's end, they seek to extract as much economic benefit from Nashiade as possible without ruining them and losing a valuable buffer against the centaurs.

Demography and Population
The Kingdom of Nashiade has an entirely human population of 630,000, and almost all of that is composed of Enctör peoples. There is a tiny amount of under a thousand Fraspikan citizens, of which nearly all are Fremedhian, in the capital and southern region as traders. Otherwise, the Nashiadian population is around 570,000 Nashi and 60,000 Döumon.
Fraspika is split into three regions: West, North, and South. The arable, lightly forested, and relatively more prosperous south holds around 395,000 of Nashiade's population, with 19,000 being Döumon. The west, mainly woods and merely a thin strip of land along the Ciandrais, is populated by 140,000 and only 2,000 Döumon. The inhospitable steppe lands of the north has only 95,000 inhabitants, with 39,000 of that being Döumon. The north and south are almost the same size, with the west being about half the size of the other two regions, so the population disparity is quite apparent.

Military
Nashiade maintains a military that is rather large for its size, as it is required to deter centaurs from invading and to attempt to stop them when they do. However, this necessity of size has left the military rather outdated and its reliance on peasant levies means that the military is slow to act as it cannot properly be maintained during peace.
