Casyrian
Casyrian was a fervently anti-elven nation which existed for about 250 years. The name is rather ironic because the modern term Casyrian refers to the various human minorites that still retain their culture from Oleandron, while Casyrian was a genocidal human-supremacist nation for much of its existance. Despite moderating policies in the latter period of its existance, the nation was still very discriminatory towards nonhumans.
Structure
Casyrian's orginal statocratic government was overthrown in 842, and a short-lived republic was established. However, it was unable to control the countryside, and failed to exert control over anyone, so it was overthrown and a monarchy established in 855. The royal family never really made a name for itself, and they have no descendents in the present day.
History
Casyrian's history is very tragic. Established by human-supremacist generals, Casyrian initally pursued a genocidal policy. While fighting against Soulpixt and Cianheart, the two elven rebel nations, Casyrian policed its countryside harshly and eliminated anyone with suspiciously pointy ears. Many of the small communities of Casyrian ethnicities retreated from the world during this time, sheltering who they could. After all, the Casyrain military police couldn't find every elf in the country, though they certainly tried. Certainly the bigger cities lost all elven population. However, despite calling more and more to war, they continually failed to make significant progress, and the leadership became increasingly unstable. It took until 842 SC to end the war which started in 783, and this took a coup in Casyrian to achieve. The peace was tenuous, with hatred between both elven and human factions having only grown, but both sides agreed that they wars could not continue, or everyone would die.
The news of peace was joyous to Casyrian's commoners, but it was tinged with sorrow. They had lost so many men in the wars that they were on a course to only stabilize at 50% of their population at the beginning of the wars (not counting the areas they lost), so they were incredibly weak. During the war, they had lost control over key border lands, and especially the tribes of Fremedhians along the northern borders. The government of Casyrian had also been very isolationist during their war, so trade was at an all time low, as well. As part of the peace deal, Casyrian was forced to stop the pogroms of elves, and so some cautiously revealed themselves. The nation limped onwards, eventually stabilizing at less than half of their prewar population in the 950s and 960s. Casyrian recontacted the gnomes, most of whom had fled during the wars, and stabilized its commerce, but it was still a shell of its former self. Even with a recovery in population numbers, Casyrian never got back to its prewar strength.
The state managed to survive until 1032 S.C., when the new Kingdom of Fraspika swept through it, easily conquering their poor armies. The Casyrian population was mostly integrated into Fraspikans, and their culture was mostly lost to history.
