The Sweven

The Sweven, a deity also referred to as the Dreamsmith, is a figure repeatedly shown in Elphead artworks as one who watches over the sleeping. Certain images suggest he gives dreams or visions to individuals, similar to Teklos. In contrast, however, it is assumed that the Elphead saw him in higher regard, and he was not as chaotic as his Syolladver counterpart.   The Sweven was known to be a reluctant participant in the Doomsday Century, preferring to avoid the conflict for a very long time. Once he did get dragged into it (being forced to defend himself) a possible reason for this became known. Many on Syoll felt in their minds the pain and anger that the Sweven must have endured, and those with an already open mind were overwhelmed. During the Great Mending, however, those with a particularly trained mind were able to reach out to the Sweven and learn a little more about the events of the Doomsday Century.
