Ira

Ira is a fishing and trade town by the coast of Nessur's Eye. While on the surface it has a quiet reputation, it has historically been a centre of smuggling and other trade-related crime. However, after the establishment of the guard outpost that connects to the Gyve, the illicit actions dulled down significantly, and the population became more stable.  

People and Culture

Though Ira is not a particularly small town, nor is it distant from the rest of the world, most of its people remain within their smaller circles and tend not to mix with outsiders. Some spend so little time outside their own neighbourhood that they imagine Ira to be much smaller than it actually is. As a consequence, there is a much deeper divide between the districts, and while the wealthier northern half has been entirely renovated over the last twenty years, the southern half is much more neglected and run-down. Some argue that the southern and northern halfs of Ira should instead be two separate towns, as they are so vastly different to each other.  

Industry and Trade

Situated right along the Bay of Coal, Ira relies heavily on its fishing industry to sustain itself. While there is some income through trading taxes of wares imported into Miennach, the trades of smaller boats and carriages passing by are much more important to the locals. Ira is among one of the only settlements in Miennach that is able to produce a majority of its required food.
