Early Childhood
Santiago was born in a tent town somewhere on the southern California/Arizona border. His parents are unknown, however, it is presumed they died while he was very young as he was taken in by an Aldecados member. He thus spent his life on the road traveling throughout the Sundom states. Teenage Years
Santiago was recruited into King Itamen's guard after a few tryouts. This is where he met Anya II, the king's daughter. The two were not friends and they rarely interacted with each other, however, Anya chose to spare his life when she murdered the rest of the guard. Her verbal reasoning was that he was a decent person and that it would have been suspicious if she was the only survivor of the accident. She then recruited him to work for her promising that whatever he need or wanted, she could supply. Since he had no love for the king and since Anya stated that she had no plans of creating a coup, he joined her. From there the two were joined by Panam Palmer, Anya's unofficially adopted sister, and the three spent their time traveling between the Aldecaldos, Orlais, and Dovahnor, just having fun and being free. Young Adulthood
Santiago moved down to Mexico City with the Aldecaldos after the group had some issues with the Snake Nation and the law. He remained there and became a more integral part of the nation by working under Juan Aldecaldo. Eventually, Juan selected him to be his heir and future leader of the Aldecaldos due to his previous military training, youth, and ties to the royal family through Anya. After Juan's death, the Aldecaldos returned to the States and buried their former leader. Santiago took the reigns and focused on creating a tight bond between the tribes of the nation. During this time he proposed to Anya, in a roundabout way, but Anya had to reject him and put a pause on their relationship to pursue some unknown business in Orlais. Heartbroken, Santiago dedicated himself to his nation in an attempt to distract himself from her absence. His time as a leader saw great improvement within the entire nation. For this, he would forever be held in high regard throughout all Nomad Nations.

Hello, Thank you so much for asking before reading this on twitch! Unfortunately, despite this being a public article, I would prefer it if this article was not read aloud on Twitch. This is not an original character of mine, it is more of a spin on an already established character from a video game by the creators of the Cyberpunk world.
