Tân y Gwanwyn

To the east of the Great Circle Wood is the country of Tân y Gwanwyn. Wild meadows, fierce rain, bright sunshine, fast streams and open skies are the birthright of its peoples. At the top of the hill they call the Binding Rock, deep in the heart of Tân y Gwanwyn is Hen Tŵr Gwyn, the Old White Tower.

The Lady Gwenllian and Lord Wildlocke are the wardens of the tower and there they keep a very special prisoner, one of the only fey whom Queen Mab has reason to fear. It is her young cousin, Jassindra, who some dangerous few claim is the rightful ruler of the Fey. Though she has no interest in politics, the unfortunate captive is a living reminder of an ancient schism that runs deep through the heart of the Fey Court. Queen Mab treats Jassindra well and visits her from time to time to ensure she is kept in comfort, for she holds no personal animosity towards the young pretender. But the Queen knows that if Jassindra were free, the realm would most likely slide into civil war. So from the battlements of Hen Tŵr Gwyn, Jassindra can only watch swift cloud shadows chasing over the fields of Tân y Gwanwyn and dream of the day when she might follow them and walk in the Great Circle Woods once again.
