Taalika Rajput was the daughter of Bhupinder Rajput, the Raja of Katrapetch and Gareema Rajput. She was their second child.
When her elder brother, the Raja Amarshiva Rajput, died without leaving an heir, the royal line of descent passed not to Taalika but to her husband, Kieran Bolgurin according to the strict patriarchal practices of the city. The dynasty of Rajput came to an end and the Bolgurin dynasty began.
