Copolleme Corporation
The Copolleme Corporation was a general trading and retail group which operated throughout the continent of Myruthea, between 2364 APC and 5847 APC.
History
The Copolleme Corporation was founded in 2364 APC by Antonio Copolleme, a merchant from Zalgurim. It prospered through the development of trading links with Jebbin City to Punjuki and east and north to Ralsimoor and Klaractazum. It opened a number of high-end retail outlets in all the major cities of Myruthea.
The grand headquarters at Zalgurim, shown in the illustration at the head of the article was built in 2735 APC as a combined administrative centre and exclusive shop for wealthy citizens.
The Corporation was run exclusively by the Copolleme Family until 3125 APC when it came under the temporary control of a board of trustees, after a tragic attempt to depose Jermon Verelfeth failed and ended in the execution of Lord Vittorio Copolleme and Lady Marcella Copolleme.
Following the unexpected and tragic deaths of their daughters Alicia Copolleme and Beatrice Copolleme in 3157 APC, the two joint heirs who would shortly have inherited the Corporation, the trustees gained permanent control. In due course a board of directors was appointed and managed the company through many more centuries of successful trading until its final collapse in the sixth millennium APC.
Although there were suspicions at the time that the deaths were convenient for certain powerful parties, it would only emerge centuries later, when the Diary of Clarise Vabatan became public that the Copolleme sisters were victims of the Sisters of Vabatan, killed for political and ritual reasons by Clarise Vabatan and Lady Ruth Fenlass.

Disbandment
In 5847 APC, the Copolleme Corporation was wound up following a series of financial scandals which left it insolvent. It had traded for almost three and a half thousand years, continuing to operate throughout the Time of Terrors (even though the Copolleme Family themselves did not survive that age), the long Age of Shadows when many organisations failed, and enduring the Limit Protectorate and the changing fortunes of later eras until it finally failed during the Jewelled Queendoms.
