Arrogance Leads To Demise

Once The Seven Realms were separated from each other, Alluvial was left alone by the other Primevals. The four remaining races worked together to rebuilt the world and each race claimed a part of the world as their own. The Fahindye chose the central part, the Raland chose to spread across the coasts of Macaria while the Ennea and the Mhany split the remaining parts between them. Over time their numbers grew and mixing their races together, new ones were born.    The Fahindye, saw themselves as the Firstborn and claimed the right to govern all of the other races. Besides the Raland, no other race objected to this and so the Fahindye began a long era of ruling from Dyen, their capital. With the birthing of other races though, their malice became even more prominent as they started discriminating the new races, seeing them as inferior. One such race was the Nyajor, their numbers quickly rising and seeking to govern themselves. Their disagreements with the Fahindye were short lived though, as in an event known as The Culling their entire race was annihilated. The other races either supported the Fahindye out of fear or disgusted by these actions rose against them led by the Raland. These events led to what is known as The Primal War. Both sides took heavy casualties but the Fahindye lost in the end and conceded to allow the races that wanted, to govern themselves.   Alluvial was split once more between the races but it was decided that there was the need to create an independent order, with members from all races that would keep the peace. A city, Tarhal, was erected in the center of Alluvial and thus The Exemplars were created. The Exemplars, started on a small scale with just a few representatives from each race, but as their numbers grew so did their influence and power. From within their headquarters, the sovereign city state of Tarhal, the Exemplars acted as a guiding hand instead of the blind obedience that the Fahindye previously demanded. This brought them at odds with the Fahindye, who still saw themselves as the rightful rulers despite their loss.    The Fahindye started to become increasingly frustrated at the loss of their influence over the other races. They begun to reinsert themselves within other territories and manipulated races to fight each other, causing discord and chaos. Pretty soon their involvement caused a full scale conflict between two of the other races, which culminated in what is known as The Blue War. The Exemplars were forced to march with the majority of their forces and campaign against both kingdoms, forcing them to stand down. While the Exemplars were busy, the Firstborn revealed their true plan attacking Tarhal, leveling it to the ground, eliminating thousands of innocent residents. Unfazed by this and in an unprecedented move, the Exemplar forces, marched upon Dyen, the capital of the Fahindye kingdom, Thaneer. Soon another full scale war broke out in Alluvial, the biggest one in terms of importance and sheer size, The War of the Ancestors. Every race in Alluvial, without any exception became involved. On one side stood the Fahindye, backed by the majority of Etaen's population, most of them joining under the threat of extermination while on the other side stood the Exemplars, backed by a handful of races who chose to stand against the tyrannical Fahindye despite the odds. The war lasted for a long time but the Exemplars managed to continue their siege of Dyen throughout the entirety of the war. While the Fahindye were seemingly winning in other fronts, this siege still posed a great threat as Dyen was their capital and it showed weakness to not be able to take it back.   From within the walls of their capital the Fahindye devised and created a spell, its power strong enough to destroy all of their enemies in a single stroke. This spell would require them to perform an intricate ritual with the participation of their most powerful mages, which would last for days. The Exemplars were informed of this, and led by Nymlaser, infiltrated Dyen to disrupt the ritual. Unfortunately this led to the spell backfiring, destroying Dyen and the overwhelming majority of all who stood within a large radius, releasing also The Blight upon the world. Only a handful of Exemplars and Fahindye survived.    The Blight, a magical disease without cure, begun killing the remaining residents of Etaen, slowly and painfully. The surviving Exemplars, first imprisoned the seven Fahindye that survived and then went on to help the surviving races escape The Blight. It soon became apparent that there was little they could do. Moving all the survivors to a safe location the Exemplars gathered all of their strength and brought Corajonne crashing down, destroying Alluvial and the remaining afflicted. They then went on to create nine new realms, each one ruled by the most powerful among them. This new world is what we now know as Etaen, The Denary Realms.   Then they turned their attention to the Fahindye and their allies. For their crimes against all creatures in Etaen, they would be forced to serve them in some capacity for all eternity. Qiell and her brother Ake, the finest of warriors were placed in the bottom of Macaria, given the task of rotating Euon and in consequence The Nine Realms. Hemera and Nyx, the royal couple and rulers of the Fahindye, were transformed into giant orbs of light, one orange and the other silver in color, doomed to meet each other only once per day, when they would meet across the center of Etaen. Akasphyl, the general of the Fahindye army, was made to serve as Guardian of Euon. Nowella, known as The Great Beast was placed inside Macaria to guard the souls of the dead. Other allies and Fahindye were cursed and left to rot within Euon. And finally, the magus Xiaro, the one responsible for the creation of the spell and subsequently The Blight, was disintegrated and absorbed into the life force of Euon and in consequence, The Nine Realms.
