Scope
The motivation behind building The Dark Gods
Generally when building other worlds random ideas would pop into my head, some of which I use, some I discard, and some I feel are too dark to fit in that world. I decided I wanted to make a world where nothing was off limits, nothing could be TOO dark.
The goal of the project
I want to create a setting for any number of other things I could make in this world. Such things might include small novels or short stories in the future, possible even D&D campaigns or other role playing games.
The Dark Gods's Unique Selling point
Dark Gods is a grimdark world set in a reality (possibly the future of our reality???) where there are ten major empires than control that majority of the earth's surface, each controlled by a different dark god.

Rumors spread throughout the land, despite the gods' best efforts to crush them, that one day a force of good will rise up and crush all of the dark gods in one fell swoop, freeing the people of the world from their oppressive grips.
The forces of Feltrith (the god of plagues) serving Rotguard seek to transgress into all bordering countries, spreading their rot across the globe. Anyone that comes in close proximity to someone infected with this disease (everyone in Rotguard), is in danger of being corrupted.
The war obsessed country of Narn is constantly seeking to expand their territory and wage war, as this empowers their god, Kazgorach.
