Zephnos, The Forest Bogeyman
"Another victim. At least she survived. Hopefully her mind isn't too broken."
Zephnos is the greatest threat anyone can encounter in the Dark Forest, especially during Halloween. With the ability to become any form he needs, he's almost impossible to stop, and even harder to kill. He is obsessed with the Campgrounds, and more specifically with possessing the Salamander Flame. He's also known to be the one who swallowed the moon, and turned the Forest from bright moonlight to darkest night.

Holidays
During the month of October, both Zephnos and the Forest become extremely hostile towards the Campgrounds. Zephnos' hatred towards humans and need to possess the Salamander Flame is magnified to such an extent that he briefly becomes a god equal to the Salamander and begins to summon his various forms to assist in his attacks. For the duration of October, until Halloween, Zephnos is split into each one of these creatures.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Zephnos in his current form is a colossal creature, usually in humanoid form. His eyes glow with silver moonlight, and his body is constantly shifting body parts to other forms. He always has his signature curved horns.
Identifying Characteristics
Zephnos can be identified by his size, horns and eyes, which always remain the same.
Physical quirks
Usually stays in a vaguely humanoid form, and will constantly direct body shifts to be as similar as they can be. During combat or when flustered, this can break down a bit, and his forms will sometimes shift towards a more monstrous appearance.
Special abilities
Zephnos can't maintain a single form for very long, instead needing to shift between multiple forms. He can direct the change somewhat, but must always change again shortly afterwards. The forms he can change into are actually the creatures he's consumed.

Zephnos favorite weapon is an elongated crab claw, likely belonging to a giant tree crab.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Zephnos has an obsession with getting and possessing the Salamander Flame. After his initial attempt to seize it, his new Cinder form has actually made it much harder to obtain it, which is a constant frustration for him, especially as he only gets bigger and bigger.

Family Ties
Zephnos still considers the Salamander to be his parent, despite the abandonment.
Social Aptitude
Zephnos is sadistic, but surprisingly most Forest creatures no longer need to fear him. Unless they're specifically blocking his way or a form Zephnos doesn't already own, he will ignore most other creatures. Of course, most of them still know to fear him, and so his social interactions are limited.
This is completely reversed for humans, who he hates due to them receiving the Salamander's protection when he had to learn to survive on his own. Zephnos will go out of his way to capture, torture, and kill any humans he finds.
Speech
Zephnos no longer speaks, but he will laugh a raucous, cacophonous giggle for the purposes of inflicting fear.
