Ereline Jost

Ereline is a female Drow, and is the ruler of Dripstone "The Hanging City" , located in the Underdark. While the city was originally built by Deep Gnomes, Ereline, and her compatriots sacked the city, and took it as their own. While Ereline was raised in a Lolthite society, who worshiped Lolth, she had an experience when she was younger involving a group of adventurers that showed her that the Drow, and herself could be so much more. This experience led her, and other Drow to leave the teachings of Lolth, and forge a new path. They set up nomadic camps throughout the Underdark, and attempted to liberate other Drow that didn’t agree with Lolthite society, but the camps were not defensible, were too often attacked, and would end up getting destroyed by other rival Drow. This led Ereline to take the city of Dripstone from the Deep Gnomes, as the city was incredibly defensible, and long thought to be impregnable. There are legends of how Ereline was able to take the city, but nobody knows for sure how it was achieved, or what happened to the Deep Gnomes who originally inhabited the city.
Ereline is a fierce warrior, as are all leaders of the Drow (might makes right is in their mantra). She is very comfortable with violence if the situation calls for it, but is also highly intelligent, and knows that not every problem requires violence to solve. Her alignment is chaotic neutral, although other Drow would consider her morals as high and mighty/goody two shoes, compared to themselves. While other Drow do not like Ereline on a personal level, or her society of refugees, they do respect her martial prowess, and no one would ever question her ability as a warrior.
