Bezantur

Bezantur, also known as the City of a Thousand Temples, and the Citadel of Thieves, is a foreboding but prosperous port city located at the southern coast of the Thay. It is as diverse a place that could be found in the nation, a religious hub for those oppressed by the centuries-long rule of the Red Wizards and their strict adherence to the worship of magic above all else. Though it lacks the joy and hope offered by the great metropolises of western Faerûn, it is the heart and soul of Thay, famous for its great harbor that opened up into the Sea of Fallen Stars.
It has been dubbed the City of a Thousand Temples from the massive number and variety of deities worshipped, and its numerous temples devoted to them. This made it an easy choice for The Cult of Azothia to establish a presence here, and is the current home of Arthur Tytana. 
Bezantur, like the rest of Thay, is ruled by The Red Wizards . Since magic started fading, they have begun to panic and tighten their grip on their political power despite their own waning magical power. They have now turned their eyes East to Murghom and Aris Mournen as they suspect he has discovered a font of magic.
City Layout:
Most of Bezantur's more reputable buildings, along with many of its temples, are located in the heart of the city, at the end of the High Road just beyond the North Gate. The southwest quarter is a labyrinthine maze warehouses, often used to arrange clandestine meetings and conduct illicit business, while the northeast region, known as the Street of White Roses, is perhaps the most lawless part of the city known to some as the Citadel of Thieves.
Notable Organizations:
Thieves Guild - Occupying the northeast region of the city in an area referred to as The Citadel of Thieves. Crime is rampant in Bezantur as mighty thieves' guilds conducted their operations without a care of repercussion from the authorities, thanks to their systematic bribery of Thayan officials.
Hexcidon - The only hexblade college in Faerûn which has served generations of warlocks as they studied to become elite bodyguards and generals in their service to Thay.
