Bradlust Character in The Crucible | World Anvil

Bradlust

(a.k.a. Glad'o'War)

Present

The church of Bradlust has been lost to time by the power of Ambers disruption. Now Bradlust is a byword for luck on the battlefield, it is understood that soldiers used to pray to Bradlust for victory but now soldiers paint the Hammer symbol onto there armour or vehicles for luck, the meaning lost to time. Some military forces still maintain a Champion position called "Avatar", no one quite knows how the tradition started, they know it was part of the old church but now it is seen as a position of great respect and prestige as the mightiest warrior of that particular military.

Ancient Times

One of the patron deities of the human race. Proud, courageous honourable and ambitious; followers of Bradlust do not seek to create war merely accept its inevitability and live by a strict code of honourable battle. Its Priests, Paladins and Monks were ever vigilant and even those warriors who choose not to become officially part of the faith would pay tribute through prayer. Bradlust’s High Priest was simply known as Avatar, it is widely believed that this man forged through decades of battle had been granted immortality by the God of whom he is the living embodiment.
