He lost his wife, Raquel Anita Creed, in a house fire in 1859 and believed that his daughter, then known as Laura Ann Creed, also perished in the blaze. This personal tragedy deeply affected him, but he continued to serve with dedication and integrity, never allowing his personal grief to interfere with his commitment to justice.   In the spring of 1876, his work led him to San Francisco, where he continued his relentless pursuit of Corwin Blake.   Legacy   James "Bodacious" Creed is a symbol of courage and resilience.
