Bachtir

The theocracy of Bachtir is led by the Host of the Nomele . Between The Larger nations of Hobartin and Tin Hou, Bactir manages the straight of Eleria, which gives them control of the sea bound trade to a large section of Hobartin.
Culture: The martial art of archery is considered a holy pursuit with competitions and educational institutions. It is even used in certain holy rituals of the local religious ceremonies.
Women wear felted clothing in loose cuts with detailed and pattered vests and jackets. Often a graduated color is used along with stitched details. The men wear felt as well as leather. They tend to have tied vests for easy removal, and typically wear clothing with a chevron or houndstooth patterning on it.

The Theocracy of Bachtir worships the Nomele and the head priest of the Temple to Muirfar is the leader of the nation. The council of the Clerivon is made up of delegates from each of the head temples. With 37 recognized temples within the nation and two delegates per temple there are 74 councilors.

Religion

While the worship of the Nomele is principle within the nation, there are other gods worshiped. The church to the Nomele in the capital Blarloch is the Cathedral of Nobelness. It has a sanctuary for healing that many travel to. It has been known to restore limbs in the sick and healed incurable disease.

The two largest festivals in the country are the Turgor Harvest Festival (a glutenous tuber) and the Memorial of Muirfar.
The Turgor Harvest is associated with virility, the removal of objects from the house and doing without things for a week. At the end of the harvest it is celebrated with chanting and singing and the blessing of men before the winter. The Nomele priests try to associate this historical event with the divinity of Merit even though it was originally a Brigantia festival.
During the Memorial day of Muirfar civil gifts and awards are given. Parades of the righteous occur after the nightlong vigil and fast. This spring event is done to encourage industriousness for the coming summer season.
