Azalia Records

Fresh sounds from a curated garden of music's greatest artists.
— Excerpt from Azalia Records description on the Amazon Hearth splash page.

Structure

A team of producers search for popular artists from across the world and help develop their careers and music production. Below them are other artists including DJs, lyricists, vocal coaches and marketing researchers for the biggest artists.

Public Agenda

Azaila Records distributes music through the Amazon Hearth interface as developed by Amazon, Incorporated. It mostly works through exclusive deals with upcoming and established singers and musicians, where their music is only available through Amazon for a set time.

Assets

Multiple recording studios and one of the best marketing teams in the business have given Azaila Records an edge. They also manage and negotiate all artist contracts, distribution rights and necessary intellectual property matters related to their business. It has been estimated that their total holdings is approximately 275 million U.S. dollars.

History

Amazon decided around 2022 to start their own music production company, although they conveniently kept silent when they received word that the executive order was underway. It wasn't until 2039, after what would be renamed Chimazon was relatively established. The offices and recording studios were quickly built and established, and Amazon slowly acquired small music studios throughout the midwest.
It took a few decades before Azalia was finally taken seriously to the masses, providing music exclusive to Amazon's platforms. They helped develop the resurgence of the concept album, which was a prevalent fad throughout the 2080's before it evolved into the musical video series developed by artists in the mid 2090's.
