Frigus

Frigus is an extremely cold world. Averaging temperatures -400°f very few come to this place. The planet is one of the larger inhabited planets. Home to the strong and proud Pluvians. These people are made up of a material similar to diamond. The pluvians are able to withstand the coldest temperatures here without protection.
The atmosphere here is toxic to most humanoid races. The pluvian people have adapted to be able to breath it as well as oxygen. The lakes and rivers here consist of liquid hydrogen.
Diamonds are found and mined here frequently, and some of the strongest and lightest metals are mined from here. They bring in large amounts of credits every year by selling their metal alone.
Storms here usually consist of diamonds flying through the air, winds with speeds up to 200 mph, and random temperature drops down to -723°f.

Geography

The planet is extremely cold. Reaching temperatures of -300°f and getting as cold as -500°f at night. The land is filled with towering mountains and deep caves. There are reports of hot water springs being found here are one point; however, there is nothing to back that claim.

History

The Pluvians were originally created in a laboratory to explore and mine planets such as Frigus. Their creators were harsh and cruel, after several years the pluvians noticed how much stronger they had become than their overlords. In a violent and bloody revolution they slaughtered their slavers and took the lives they deserved.
They found Frigus and quickly fell in love with the planet. They have lived here ever since. Now an estimated 5,000 years. They have grown strong and extremely advanced. They are one of the most advanced races in the system. In exploration, military, and industry. They are quickly rising towards being the richest planet in the system.

Tourism

It takes a lot to get someone to come to Frigus. With the deadly temperatures, lack of water, poison gas, violent diamond storms, random temperature drops, and winds strong enough to carry away a person, most people choose to stay away from here.
The people you will find on this planet usually fall into the following categories: Workers looking for work in the diamond mines, adrenaline junkies with trillions of credits, and outlaws hiding in one of the few places the law won't follow. Most of these people rarely survive. If, however, a miner does survive his first year here, he'll be set for several lifetimes on most planets and be able to afford the most lucrative of lifestyles. The chance of that is extremely slim. Less than 1% survive their first month.
