A Ticking Sensation

Everyone knows how the warforged came to be, created by the House Cannith to fight in what everyone said was the last war. Well it wasn't the last war, and many believe that that isn't the beginning of the warforged. At least not the warforged we know today.
Since the beginning of the people there have been rumors that there once existed ancient beings like them. Ancient and powerful beings, far older than the planets. Some say they were the parents of the universe. These stories came up soon after the first warforged were created. These stories have led to many issues such as warforged raising up against their masters, rebellions against entire cities, and running away. Many escaped warforged go one of two ways in order to survive. They become pirates, or make the trek to View 636, the only planet that completely accepts and protects warforged. Here they are seen as equals and can receive citizenship.
Now, of course these stories are just stories. There is no proof to back up any of them, if a planet that was home to such powerful beings existed, it would have been found by now or they would have found us. These are just stories that warforged tell to eachother and themselves to feel as if they were once something more.
