Cinemagraphs

Cinemagraphs are a recent invention. Upon a screen, a series of moving images are played in quick succession to create the illusion of movement. Through this, stories can be told.   Cinemagraphs were first created in what is now Balan in the late 3700s. At first, they were seen as little more than a cheap trick meant for carnivals, but leave it to Balanians to turn a cheap trick into a phenomenon. Various cinemagraph theatres began to pop up in Balan during its period of prosperity in the 3840s, and with this, many began using cinemagraphs as a method of storytelling.   Cinemagraphs then spread to Talamh-Draoichta, Triberol, and Daghur  In 3857, scientists found a way to sync up sound to cinemagraphs.   As of now, cinemagraphs remain a phenomenon focused on the North-East and Central areas.
