Arnal
Far beyond the Furnary forest along the Duhr River lies the village of Arnal. Isolated from the rest of the kingdom, this village takes care of itself. Modest farmlands and gatherer's huts surround the settlement and fishing boats traverse the river that runs around town.
Arnal used to be a mostly quiet town until the birth of a halfling named Pippelon in a large family. As a young kids Pippelon showed innate magical abilities, though he did not know how to control them. Instead of developing he powers, Pippelon chose to open a bakery and his cakes became a famous dessert. Before the war Princess Lena of Burbry even travelled to the village to try the dessert!
One day Pippelon's sister Paela gave birth to a tiefling, Seraina, and died shortly after. The father was unknown and Pippelon raised Seraina as his own daughter. Seraina too, had magical powers and the two started practicing their skills together.
One day the earth tore open near the village. Panic broke out, and after to commotion died down Seraina had gone missing. Not much later Pippelon left the village and all villagers are left with the same questions: who will make their dessert?
